About This Masaledar Multigrain Sourdough
Most bakery bread in Indore is soft, white and forgotten by the next morning. The Masaledar Multigrain Sourdough is the opposite. It starts with a live sourdough culture that's been feeding for months, is blended with wheat, rye and oat flour for a multigrain crumb, then given 48 hours of cold fermentation to develop real complexity — tanginess, depth, that slightly funky undertone that bread enthusiasts call "character" and everyone else calls addictive.
The crust is scored before baking and loaded with three seeds that are deeply Indian and deeply right: ajwain for warmth and digestive familiarity, cumin for an earthy nuttiness, sesame for bite and fragrance. The result is a bread that's at home with butter and chai in the morning, and equally at home with dal and sabzi at dinner.

What Indore is Saying
"I've been buying sourdough from various Indore bakeries for two years and none came close. The Masaledar has a genuine open crumb, real tang from fermentation, and the masala crust is inspired — the ajwain and cumin make it uniquely Indian. I subscribe weekly now."
"Bought this on a whim thinking it would be like dry store sourdough. It's not even in the same category. The crust sound when you tap it — that's how you know. Toasted with butter and chai, it's the best breakfast I've had in this city."
